Valnir Rok falls into survival RPG and multiplayer sandbox categories according to Encurio who is claimed to be both developer and publisher of this game. The gameplay and some mechanics resemble the recently released Valheim. Here you're trying to survive on a desolated island filled with wild animals and other abominations such as trolls (from Norse myths, not a toxic gaming community, however it can be debatable) and dragons. You should provide yourself with fresh water and meals otherwise your playable character dies of poisoning or thirst. At nights you need to get dressed appropriately as it's freezing. Speaking of building houses, you need to locate a suitable area for that. There are no terraforming mechanics so, if you, for example, decide to build your home over a stump, it will eventually respawn as a full-grown tree right in your living room. The constructed house must be equipped with a workbench (be ready to figure our crafting recipes on your own) and self-defense means to fight off raiders. There are PvE and PvP servers, but your chances to stumble across other players are pretty slim. This game got abandoned by its player base due to constant bugs and glitches. So, your only way to play Valnir Rok is to embark on the scripted quests written by Giles Kristian and hope that server lags won't get you right in the middle of a campaign.

Players can upgrade their status in various NPC factions, seek refuge in NPC cities, or team up with other players to establish their own cities. Collect, create, explore and pave your way to glory!
